I am absolutely delighted to have my wood engraving ‘The Needles Lighthouse‘ selected for the Society of Wood Engravers 88th Annual exhibition 2026. This is the third time one of my wood engravings has been selected for this prestigious exhibition which exhibits the very best of wood engravings from both UK and international wood engravers. Previous successful entries were ‘Papaver Somniferum‘ in 2023 and ‘Lemons in a Blue Basket‘ in 2024. The exhibition starts at Bankside Gallery in London in February 2026 and then tours the country to another five venues in the UK.

Talk to Cowprint Artists Group in January 2025 and Poole Printmakers in March 2025 about my MILAB artists residency in Echizen.
Titchfield Arts and Craft Show 2025 in April 2025. I exhibited a number of prints including ‘The Needles Lighthouse’ and ‘Lemons in a Blue Basket’.
2024
‘Trio’ is an exhibition with my printmaking friends Margot Eardley and Gillian Owen at the Forest Arts Centre in New Milton (in the New Forest) from Saturday 6th January to 14th February. Over 60 framed prints including 19 of mine.
My colour multiblock wood engraving ‘Lemons in a Blue Basket’ (after Christopher Wood) selected for the prestigious 86th Annual Exhibition of the Society of Wood Engravers which opens at the Bankside Gallery, London in February 2024 and then tours the country.
My print ‘Twilight Hamstead Quay‘ has been selected for the 2024 Juried International Mokuhanga Exhibition in Echizen City, Japan. Entitled Inheritance & Innovation: Mokuhanga & Washi the exhibition will run from 4th to 8th April 2024 concurrently with the fifth 2024 International Mokuhanga Conference in Echizen.

2023
My wood engraving ‘Papaver Somniferum’ has been selected for the prestigous 85th annual Society of Wood Engravers exhibition at the Bankside Gallery, London opening on 7th February 2023 and then tours the country to five other galleries.
Awarded the Mary and John Symons Memorial Award for best print for my Mokuhanga print ‘Twilight Hamstead Quay‘ at St Barbe’s Open Exhibition 2023, in Lymington, Hampshire. My Mokuhanga print ‘Solent Summer Rain‘ was also selected.

2022
‘Solent Green’ exhibited at the Inspirational Women Artists exhibition at God’s House Tower, Southampton, to celebrate International Womens Day 2022, from 25 February to 8 March 2022, culminating with a silent auction for charity.
Titchfield Arts and Crafts Show 2022 at Titchfield Community Centre, Hampshire from 22 to 24 April 2022. My wood engraving ’Fawley (across Southampton Water)’ was Commended in the first time exhibitor category.
Cutting a Fine Line – The Art of Printmaking, a 10 year retrospective of printmaking by Cowprint Artists’ Group at God’s House Tower, Southampton from 29 April to 8 May 2022. Two wood engravings ‘Wren’ and ‘Solent Seashells’ were shown.
My wood engraving ‘Fawley (across Southampton Water)’ has been selected from the St Barbe Open in Lymington which runs from 30 April to 11 June 2022.
Winchester Print Fair on 21 May 2022 at the Nutshell, King’s Walk, Winchester.
My wood engraving ‘Wren’ has been selected for the exhibition ‘Nature Prints and Poetry’ at the Scottish Ornitholigists’ Club at Aberlady, near Edinburgh from 8 June to 31 July 2022. The print was displayed alongside the poem of the same name that inspired it, by Scottish poet Richard Price.
2021
‘Fawley Blue Sky’ selected for the Print International Exhibition 2021 at Tŷ Pawb, the regional arts centre in Wrexham, North Wales, from 4 December 2021 to 26 February 2022.
‘Hamble Quay’ and ‘Fawley Blue Sky’ in the Summer Exhibition Open 2 at the Yellow Edge Gallery, in Gosport from 31 July to 15th August 2021.

‘Hamble Quay’ a reduction linocut was awarded Highly Commended in the the St Barbe Museum and Art Gallery Open Exhibition which ran from 17th May to 12th June 2021.
Our exhibition ‘Navigating a New World’, a collaboration between my printmakers group Cowprint and Inky Hands Studio in Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA, to commemorate the sailing of the Mayflower over 400 years ago, finally opened at the arts and heritage venue God’s House Tower in Southampton. Delayed a year because of the Covid pandemic, it opened in August 2021. My print ‘Downwind off Cape Cod’ is on show along with 21 other artists from Cowprint and 18 from Inky Hands, as well as two artists concertina books of prints made by each workshop.
2020
Southampton City Art Gallery have selected two of my prints ‘Downwind off Cap Cod’ (a multi block woodcut) and ‘The Crossing’ (woodcut) for their new online open exhibition – In Search of a New World which marks the 400th anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower. The exhibition launched on the 15 August 2020, exactly 400 years since the Mayflower departed from Southampton and is still available online.
‘Storm over Fawley’ an etching on zinc plate was awarded Highly Commended in the St Barbe Museum and Art Gallery Open Exhibition which ran from 7th July to 30th August 2020.

God’s House Tower, Southampton, launched their online exhibition ‘Navigating a New World’ in December 2020 which features my print ‘Downwind off Cape Cod’ and a selection of others from Cowprint Artists’ Group.
