Southampton City Art Gallery have selected two of my prints for their new online open exhibition – In Search of a New World which marks the 400th anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower. I’m really thrilled as this is the first time I have entered the Open and to have both ‘Downwind off Cape Cod’ and ‘The Crossing’ selected out of over 450 entries is great news! The exhibition launches today 15 August 2020, exactly 400 years since the Mayflower departed from Southampton.
I am pleased to announce that ‘Storm over Fawley’ has been awarded Highly Commended in the St Barbe Museum and Art Gallery Open Exhibition which runs from 7th July to 30th August 2020. It is great to see museums and art gallery’s opening again after the lifting of the lockdown; so lets hope this continues and there isn’t a second wave of the coronavirus.
I completed the Diploma in Printmaking at the Red Hot Press in March 2020, but unfortunately the Foundation and Diploma show that was to be held in May had to be cancelled. I am now building on the body of work developed during the course which focused on celebrating the fine brutalist architecture of Fawley Power Station, so expect to see more prints on this theme emerging over the next few months
My work continues to be stocked at Sea Sky, the art gallery and gift shop in Hamble, which has now reopened. They are continuing to stock a selection of prints, framed and unframed, and greeting cards. It’s great to be supporting a local independent shop in the village where I live, particularly as it has such a wide range of gifts on offer and some really excellent artists work.
The John Hansard Gallery Shop, Guildhall Square, Southampton is currently temporarily closed. I am hoping to continue providing stock of my work for sale when they reopen.

The exhibition had been planned for the first two weeks of August 2020 but has been postponed due to the coronavirus. More news and revised dates for the exhibition to follow on this shortly.

This has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Our group has come along way in the five years since we had our first exhibition in the Foyer space so this will a great opportunity to display our latest sketches and have our sketches, prints and cards for sale too.
