Kay A Brown

Hi, my name is Kay Brown. I am an artist printmaker and urban sketcher based in Hamble, Hampshire, UK. I am particularly interested in using wood as a medium for printmaking, including wood cuts and wood engravings, and am currently developing my skills in the technique of Japanese wood block printmaking. As a keen sailor I am fascinated by the movement of the sea, the wave patterns and reflections of light and how my mark making and grain of a wood block can be used to portray it’s beauty.
